Important Note: We cannot provide treatment to those with a personal injury claim or pending litigation related to an injury. Services are not eligible for extended health care plans or taxable benefits. Clinics are supervised by RMT Program Instructors and are part of a student internship. Limits to care may be set, including frequency or type of treatment provided.

Our Semester 4 students are in their 2nd year of the RMT program and are learning and integrating more advanced skills. They have a more advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology and their practical skill set includes athletics massage, pregnancy massage, therapeutic exercise and professional development skills for even better communication and assessment. Jade is a manual bodyworker and therapeutic yoga teacher. She has been working in health centres in Hong Kong after receiving and completing myofascial release and manual bodywork trainings between 2014 and 2016, and therapeutic yoga trainings between 2016 and 2018.

Jade believes that massage therapy is an effective primary health care for health maintenance and rehabilitation. She often applies massage as self-care and body maintenance herself.

As a bodyworker, Jade found her work fulfilling seeing patients’ smiles after treatments. Born and raised in North Vancouver, Dennis is excited to be working locally at the Langara College student clinic.

Prior to going back to school for Massage Therapy Dennis worked on the Community Team at Mountain Equipment Co-op where he developed a love for the outdoors. It was early on in his time at MEC that Dennis discovered trail running then subsequently Massage Therapy as it helped him recover from, and later prevent, common overuse running injuries.
